the manifesto. le manifeste.

Five lines we don't cross. Break them and we shut the shop. Written one night in 2019, in the cave. Cinq lignes qu'on ne franchit pas. Si on les franchit, on ferme boutique. Écrit un soir de 2019, dans la cave.

code is political.

Every time we decide what gets logged, what gets kept, where the bytes sleep — we make a political choice. We refuse to pretend otherwise.

If a feature feeds a surveillance apparatus, we don't build it. Nobody should have to think about who's watching before they type. No disclaimers. No 'it's just a tool.'

And when we build tools that dig through public data — gitsint exists — we build them so you can see what you're already exposing, before someone less friendly does.

no trackers. no cookies. ever.

No google analytics. No meta pixel. No segment, no amplitude, no plausible-cloud. Nothing that ships your visit to someone else's server.

Our analytics are self-hosted, cookieless and anonymous — they run on our own box and count pageviews, not people. No IP stored, no profile built. We know a page was read. We don't know by whom.

europe can host its own tools.

Self-hosted on EU soil — a VPS in Germany, a homelab in Brittany. No AWS. No GCP. No Vercel, Netlify, Fly, Render.

We run on EU wires and answer to EU courts. Everything is infrastructure-as-code — if our hoster sells out tomorrow, moving is a weekend, not a migration project.

small is fine. three devs is enough.

We will never raise. We will never sell. We will never 'scale' past what the three of us can maintain alone at a reasonable pace.

When we need more hands, we hire a freelancer for two weeks — paid fairly, no equity scam. When we can't do something alone, we ask another small shop for help. That's it.

we ship when it's ready. not before.

We don't ship to hit quarters. We don't ship to demo at conferences. We don't ship so a PM can mark a ticket done.

We ship when the code is small, readable, and sleeps quietly at 4am. Sometimes that takes a weekend. Sometimes it takes a year. You'll know it's ready when you read the release notes and they make you trust us more, not less.
